The GSI app 'Equip State' as available from the launcher on GSI-ACC PCs under 'Verschiedenes' can be used to readout and send commands to the different detector drive 
controllers. This app also shows devices that are not published to Device Control or ParaModi (similar to PropHelper).

Open the app, select a resident ESR pattern and select a beam process that has 'INTERMEDIATE' in its name.

Select the Device Type (PS for stepper motors, PPOS for pneumatic drives) and select the ID (Nomenklatur) of the device.

Now you can send read and write commands in the lower right corner.
