PMT power supply |

We checked the PMT signal inside the cave by using the local HV power supply. If one needs to repeat the measurement at another time, be careful to use the correct HV power supply, since the second one, which is mounted in the crate has the wrong polarity. Both PMT's must be supplied with a negative voltage.
During our tests the detector signals looked quite well and the background rate was below 10Hz. The baseline oscillated by 2mV (20mV after first amplification).
Subsequently, we did the tests of Entry 37 again. CH00 of the HV supply in the ESR container shows a higher leakage current of around 485muA at 2650V compared to 156muA at Ch01. Both channels could hold the voltage and the rate was measured with the LED at the XUV-detector operated a volage of 6V. See attachment. |
