NEEC project - particle detector holder |
|
|
This is a 3D printed holder that serves multiple purposes for securing the holder at the back end of the pocket and shielding the photomultiplier (PMT) from the light in the cave.
It is designed for the long, square pocket that is installed at the first dipole magnet following the electron cooler.
It consists of three parts that are printed individually:
Part 1 is glued to the lightguide and PMT and attaches to the backend of the pocket using screws.
Part 2 is also attached using screws or can be glued into place as well. It surrounds the PMT.
Part 3 is slid onto part2 and acts as a light shield. The two cables coming of the end of the PMT (HV supply and signal output) are placed in the protruding cable channel.
